In the future. Probably twenty or thirty years. A father is braiding his daughter’s hair. There should be something gentle in the way he talks to her. They are outside. It’s sunny.
DAUGHTER: So the climate change deniers….
FATHER: YEP! Bought all the santi-wipes.
DAUGHTER: That’s strange.
FATHER: Yes. It was.
The two sit in silence and contemplate just how strange it is to deny one kind of science and be terrified of another in the same moment. Just goes to show how, the intersection of power and wealthy is volatile chemistry. But ultimately, I believe, we gonna be some version of alright. Alright enough to be braiding hair and talking about the past with clarity and grace.
Probably to political...naaaaah.
